Lavender House Cottages - Ralph and Martha Borge

After fifty years of marriage, Martha and Ralph Borge can relax in the glow of success of raising a fine family and achieving status as award winning artists in their corner of beautiful West Marin.

They focus on painting scenes of West Marin and are considered best in their field at exhibits for West Marin Wild, an annual Labor Day weekend exhibit at the National Seashore and at the MALT’s annual fundraiser, Ranches and Rolling Hills* in Nicasio every May.

Ralph paints in oil and captures intense light and contrast in dramatic landscapes. Martha achieves a light as air touch in acrylic paints and is the artist of the famous Spirit Rock painting that became a top selling poster for Marin Scapes, another annual show they participated in for many years.
